I had thought about laser eye correction for quite some time and I knew that my overuse of contacts was very unhealthy for my eyes and there would be a time where I couldn’t wear contacts any more. That really concerned me since I was never a glasses type person. I had my eyes done about 4 months ago and I can’t explain the clarity. Everything is so crisp and vivid. It is like experiencing clouds, sunsets and nature all over again. I wake up and can see the alarm clock and all those little things. The staff and Dr. Leong-Sit were very helpful and all of my questions were answered and I never felt rushed or pressured from my assessment to the actual surgery day and through the follow-ups. It is truly a life changing procedure and I would definitely recommend Dr.Leong-Sit and his staff.

I have 20/20 vision. 20/20!!!! Without glasses!! For the first time in my life since grade 3 I can say this. I had my last postop check today and I couldn't be happier. No more sweaty glasses when I work out. No more nose pad dents! I can hardly wait for ski season--no more iced up glasses on the hill. I can do yoga without glasses falling off my face. In the past when I travelled, I always took a spare pair of glasses just in case I lost my good ones or broke them. Now--kiss those babies goodbye. I'll be donating them to charity now. My optometrist knew I was hating my glasses and he highly recommended Dr. Leong-Sit, suggesting I go and talk to him and have an assessment. The entire experience at Eye Q Laser was totally positive. Because I lack sufficient corneal tissue it was recommended that I have lens implantation. I've had warts removed that hurt more than this surgery. My only regret is that I waffled for so long and didn't have this done years ago. Dr. Leong-Sit and his staff are wonderful people who made me feel totally at ease throughout the entire assessment/surgery procedure. They were all very professional and extremely caring about my decision to have this done and were constantly concerned about my well-being before, during and after the surgery. "I wanted to write a testimonial for Dr. Leong-Sit and what an amazing job he did for me. I’m one of those people who always felt that I should have never have had to wear glasses! I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 7 years old, with my prescription getting worse every year to where I was at approximately -9.75 in each eye with a high astigmatism in my right eye. I did wear contact lenses as a teenager and into my 20’s and 30’s, but had to stop wearing them completely after having worn them over 20 years because of vein growth into my corneas. This happens when you wear your contact lenses 18 hours a day. So; I was either wearing my glasses constantly or wearing contact lenses only on weekends and applying eye drops in my eyes every 1/2 hour because of dry eyes.
I had to continually push my glasses up my nose when I worked out; lost contact lenses in the ocean swimming and scuba diving; had to switch between prescription sunglasses to regular glasses on vacation constantly and was completely lost when I didn’t have my glasses. I even walked into a glass partition-wall when I was 14 because I wasn’t wearing my glasses and didn’t see it!!
I went to a few laser eye centers, only to be told that a) I would have to have surgery in Vancouver or I wouldn’t have any corneas left (with no explanation as to why). I didn’t want to fly to Vancouver and I didn’t want to go to a center that treats patients like dollar bills.
My eye doctor told me that Dr. Leong-Sit was the best eye surgeon in the city, so I figured that it couldn’t hurt to see him. Dr. Leong-Sit took the time to explain everything about the ICLs and the procedure and why I would be a good candidate. The cost is basically 8-10 pairs of glasses for me over the next 30 years.. Dr. Leong-Sit also took time to explain the procedure to my husband and his surgical staff even showed my husband what the implantable contact lens looked like!
The procedure in itself is about 10 minutes per eye and a few hours after surgery, I could see 20/20. It’s remarkable to be able to see everything and not have to be within 2” of something to see it!
If you are considering implantable contact lenses and aren’t sure about it; let me assure you that it is virtually pain-free and that you are in excellent hands; everyone from the counselors to the surgical staff, especially Jenna and Patricia, were there to answer any questions and make you feel very special. Dr. Leong-Sit is a very caring and excellent doctor and I would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends. In fact, I already have!!"

"I had my laser eye surgery over a year ago now and I must admit that it was one of the best decisions in my life. I did not have a major prescription but it was bad enough that I had to wear glasses all the time which really affected the things that I did on my leisure time.
In the summer I do a lot of water sports, such as wake boarding and swimming, but wearing glasses or contacts just is not safe while doing this. I have 2 small children and wearing glasses seemed to be in the way for me; I really felt that life would be better with out glasses or contacts.
My experience was great at EyeQ Premium Laser. I was totally comfortable the entire time that I was there, I did not have to wait long for my appointments and I really felt that the staff really cared about me. One thing that stood out to me was every time I came in for an appointment my eyes were always checked to make sure that my prescription was accurate.
