What is laser vision correction?

Laser vision correction is a procedure that improves vision by using a laser to permanently change the shape of the cornea. Often referred to as LASIK (an acronym for the medical term laser assisted in-situ keratomileusis), it is the most commonly performed laser vision correction procedure and is an effective treatment for a wide range of vision problems.

Visian Implantable Contact Lens

Visian Implantable Contact Lens

The Visian Implantable Contact Lens (ICL) is an exciting newer surgical option for freedom of glasses now available at Eye Q Premium Laser. Higher corrections deemed not suitable for laser correction may be eliminated by injection of this biocompatible contact lens technology through microincisional surgery. Once again, freedom from glasses is only minutes away.

“My eye doctor told me that Dr. Leong-Sit was the best eye surgeon in the city, so I figured that it couldn’t hurt to see him. Dr. Leong-Sit took the time to explain everything about the ICLs and the procedure and why I would be a good candidate. The cost is basically 8-10 pairs of glasses for me
over the next 30 years.. Dr. Leong-Sit also took time to explain the procedure to my husband and his surgical staff even showed my husband what the implantable contact lens looked like!

The procedure in itself is about 10 minutes per eye and a few hours after surgery, I could see 20/20. It’s remarkable to be able to see everything and not have to be within 2” of something to see it!”
